Eugene Coffee Company’s Baristas Have More Fun Classes are designed to provide you with basic coffee/espresso drink making skills in a coffee shop setting but with handouts that you can use as reminders at home. 

Courses are taught in a relaxed, fun environment primarily by Sue Harnly,Voted Eugene Weekly’s Best of Eugene Best Barista 2011.

 Each course has a minimum of 4 students, maximum of 8. Larger groups can be accommodated for a private class for your family, work group or group of friends.

Making a Better Latte/Mocha at Home 

You’ve purchased a home espresso machine yet your Latte’s and Mocha’s at home don’t taste as good as at your local coffee shop. This course will help you learn how to get the most from your home espresso machine and turn a mediocre Latte/Mocha into a delicious one! In this lecture and hands on class, learn about how milk, steaming, the bean and the grind all play a role in improving or ruining your attempts at making a fantastic drink. Impress your friends and family with your drink making skills!

A light snack will be provided along with drink tasting and handouts.

 Coffee Brewing Techniques for Home Brewing 

You don’t need an expensive espresso machine at home to make delicious coffee. This course will explore 3 brewing techniques that you can do from your own kitchen with affordable brewing equipment.

A light snack will be provided along with drink tasting and handouts.

Barista Basics- Learn For Fun or For New Job Skills! 

Whether you are new to the work world or interested in gathering new skills to make yourself more marketable, this class will help you know if you have what it takes to be a barista. This lecture and hands on class will cover the basics of drink making, customer service, order taking, cash management, espresso machine basics plus plenty of individualized attention and time for questions.

A light snack will be provided along with drink tasting and handouts.

On the Job Internships

What better way to practice your skills than to get behind the coffee bar and practice with customers. You’ll receive coaching from your instructor as well as other baristas to help you hone your skills during this 8 hour minimum on the job class.

Prerequisite: Successful completion of the Barista Basics Course.

Silent Coffee
1st Friday of the month, 7:00-9:00pm
A monthly social gathering for persons who use sign language as their primary language, their family and friends, sign language students, interpreters and those interested in learning sign language.

Women’s Coffee Club
3rd Saturday of the month, 10:00am – Noon
This coffee club rotates to different coffee shops around the community as a way to meet and socialize. For more information or to be added to their email list, contact Julia.

Take our coffee and pastries to your company meetings, gatherings and events. Order in advance by calling 541-954-5345 or email us at eugenecoffeeco@gmail.com.

The basics:

  • 96oz. of coffee in recyclable container (eight 12 oz. cups) $12.00
  • Condiments (cups, sweeteners, cream, etc enough for 96oz) $ 3.00
  • Muffins, bagels, donuts $ 2.50 (each)
  • You pick up $ Free
  • We deliver $10.00
